This reviewer stated it’s merino so it has that peculiar quality of warming you when it’s cold but not giving you heatstroke when it starts to heat up. And yes, it just doesn’t absorb body odor. If you are of medium build the advice to size down is correct – I got the Small and it fits snug and comfortable. When the package arrives, you may have a moment of hesitation at having plunked down $55 for this wisp of a shirt. ‘Microweight’ is an apt description. Don’t worry about it – it feels right from the moment you put it on and the fit and sense of solid construction don’t disappoint. You can wear it as a base when you are pedaling off on the bike early on a cold weekend morning; and if you’re not biking, you can just wear it for the weekend. Now that I know I can trust it, I would buy again from Smartwool.
