There were lots of positive reviews for this jacket. One reviewer said I just took 3, 40 mile rides this past week wearing the Pearl Isumi Elite Thermal Barrier Jacket. Temperatures ranged from 37 to 61F. It performed very nicely. The front of the jacket has a fairly wind proof material with a fleece like backing. The back is fleece backed spandex like material. The sides and backs of the arms are also fleece backed spandex. It breaths very nice, yet does a decent job keeping the cold wind from chilling your core. With the right base layer, you might be able to go lower than 37 degrees, but this jacket might be a bit too ventilated for 20 degree weather.

Another reviewer mentioned I purchased this jacket to be my cold weather jacket, intended use for around 0-5 degrees Celsius. It does provide enough warmth anywhere unto around 10 degrees, comfortably, I am someone who does feel the cold. It can sometimes get too hot when the pace picks up. Would recommend going a size up if you wish to wear anything more than a base layer underneath. There are 3 pockets inside the zippered back pocket which was unexpected from reading the description

This reviewer felt the great thing about this garment is the semi form fit, with a bit of spandex. Unlike standard single layer windbreakers which often have excess material, and therefore on fast descents flop around in the wind, this one doesn’t. What a nice change! You can actually hear yourself think at fast speeds!
