When shorts might not be enough; when temperatures are dropping or when the trail gets especially rough, throw on a pair of Ibex Men’s El Fito ¾ Cycling Knickers. Bumps and vibration are easily absorbed by the ergonomically molded multi-density foam pad; pad absorbs excess sweat and dries quickly for comfort
They are also wind and water resistant, while Ibex’s Climawool Lite double weave over the knees and midweight Merino back will keep you comfortable in a wide range of conditions and temperatures. These high-performance wool tights offer superb softness, moisture-management and insulation for cool weather rides. Reinforced with flexible Spandura in the seat and inner thighs for maximum durability, abrasion-resistance and support
The Ibex Men’s El Fito ¾ Cycling Knickers are designed with New Zealand Merino wool and a small amount of nylon for extra strength, and Lycra® to make a garment that fits snugly and moves with you. The Superfine Merino wool creates an itch-free, naturally anti-microbial, thermal-regulating and form-fitting domain for vigorous cold-weather activities. As with all Merino wool cycling clothing they are anti-odor.
Wool provides the greatest temperature regulation, especially for stop-and-go sports like cycling. Merino wool has the ability to absorb large amounts of moisture vapor (up to 35% of its own weight) buffers the body’s microclimate in changing conditions. Not only does Merino help to remove sweat, it actually lowers your temperature in the process. Conversely, a process known as heat of sorption, a perceptible temperature rise generated through absorption of moisture by the fiber, helps you stay warm in winter.

Ibex Men’s El Fito 3/4 Cycling Knickers Review
Rating:

Cyclists who have purchased and used the Ibex Men’s El Fito ¾ Cycling Knickers find them comfortable, high quality, durable, attractive and versatile.
One reviewer works who works for a bicycling tour company, and spend a lot of time in the saddle reported that these knickers have worked for me on casual spins in the spring, sprints in mid-winter, and touring Europe in the fall. Warm in the cold weather and breath well in warmer weather. The only time he doesn’t wear these is when the temperature notches above 70-75 degrees. He only washes them every 5-10 uses.
That was very typical of the reviews with another cyclist stating these wool 3/4 El Fito’s are so incredibly comfortable. The temperature regulating properties of wool are just priceless.
Another reviewer stated these (and toe warmers) will take me from a dry 25F/wet 45F up to about 70F. Free leg movement means you can spin with comfort. Also, on brevets and longer rides I don’t like bibs for obvious reasons. But not too worry, the chamois goes the distance. And we’re talking wool – it’s nice to get wet and stay warm.
The only concerns voiced by purchasers regarded not clearly checking the size chart to ensure they had a good fit. Some people also thought they were expensive but the users find with the durability and that they can last for years its is good value.
These wool cycling knickers provide a great alternative to other garments constructed with other fabrics.
